A meta-analysis was performed to comprehensively assess the influence of TMP on the restoration of neurological and motor function in rats exhibiting acute spinal cord injury. A systematic literature search, utilizing English databases (PubMed, Web of Science, and EMbase) and Chinese databases (CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, and CBM), was performed to identify research articles on TMP treatment in rats with spinal cord injury (SCI), published up to October 2022. In an independent effort, two researchers read the included studies, extracted the data, and evaluated their quality. Incorporating 29 studies, a risk of bias assessment demonstrated the subpar methodological quality of the included research.
